Google's official announcement of the Pixel 7 Pro phone is at least a month away; But the post from Bangladesh is the video of 'Google's latest phone'! A shop in Uttara called 'Gadgetful BD' has posted the video on their Facebook page, which they call 'unboxing'.
The device shown in the video is similar to the upcoming 'Google Pixel 7 Pro' device, according to a report by tech site Verge. In the video, someone is taking out a black device from a Google-branded box with 'Pixel 7 Pro' written on it. Google's 'G(A)' logo is printed on the back of the device.
A spokesperson claimed that the phone shown in the video is Google's Pixel 7 Pro when contacted by Gadgetful BD on behalf of Tech. However, he did not want to give his name or title. In response to the question of how they got this phone in Bangladesh, he said, "We got the phone using our own sources."
Earlier, renders of this Google phone were found on various sites. The question is, how similar is that information to the phone in the video? In response, the spokesman said, "Nowadays, only fairly reliable information is leaked. It is 95 percent consistent with what we know before.”
Google first showed the 'Pixel 7' and '7 Pro' devices at the 'I/O' held in May this year. Along with the 'Pixel Watch', these two devices may come to the market in October. According to the Verge report, the phone in the video posted on Facebook matches Google's 'official render'. Also, it has two 'cutouts' for the aluminum camera bar and sensors at the back.
The animation of the device is similar to the original animation sequence shown while booting the Google Pixel device. Apart from this, the 'device setup screen' is also seen in the video. The video did not reveal any additional information about the new device. Apart from this, Gadgetful BD has not given any new information in the post description either.
Verge has identified two prototype sales of the 'Pixel 7' device. One of these happened on e-commerce platform eBay, where a user was selling the device on the platform. And in another incident, a person claimed on social media 'Reddit' that he bought the device from Facebook's 'Marketplace'. According to the Verge report, each of the leaked devices is similar to the design shown by Google in early 2022. But the new video hints that Google may be very close to unveiling the phone.
The two previous leaks did not show the Google logo on the back of the device, and there was no product packaging. Google has never had a reputation for keeping the Pixel phone under wraps until its unveiling. Apart from this, a similar incident happened with the Pixel Watch. As Google's new unveiling is just around the corner, users won't have to wait long to see what the upcoming device will look like.
